If there is one event that captures the essence of our city, it is undoubtedly the Fish Festival<\/strong>. Every year, in mid-September, the Levante beach is transformed into a large open-air kitchen where the scent of frying and grilling blends with that of the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 edition promises to be even more special, combining fine dining with a rediscovery of the oldest maritime traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s in store for you: the traditional menu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The heart of the festival is the large food stand set up directly on the beach. Here, we celebrate true fisherman’s cuisine: the king of the festival is the mixed fried fish<\/strong>, crispy and piping hot, followed by the inevitable sarde in saor<\/strong> and baby octopus with polenta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Casone on the beach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of this festival is the reconstruction of a traditional Casone<\/strong> (a fisherman\u2019s hut made of marsh reeds) right on the sand. It\u2019s the perfect place to get a sense of how our grandparents used to live and to take some incredible photos at sunset with the Church of the Madonna dell\u2019Angelo in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A friend’s tip<\/strong>: The party attracts huge crowds, especially on Saturday evenings. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere at a more leisurely pace, we suggest having lunch on Sunday or arriving for dinner very early, around 6.30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eating with your feet in the sand, as the sun sets and the lights of the old town come on, is a truly unique experience. It is the moment when the community of Caorle comes together to thank the sea for its bounty before the arrival of autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
